Though the chief minister did not share the committee reports to the media, Assam had on Tuesday revealed the findings.

Media reports from Assam, quoting the boundary report, had said Meghalaya will get almost half of the disputed border areas which Assam had earlier staked claim on.

Meghalaya would get 18.2 sqkm of the 36.79 sqkm of disputed land in the first phase of the land settlement between the two states whereas Assam will get 18.5 sqkm.

However, Conrad downplayed the question as to who will benefit the most by saying that the criteria was on the will of the people and ethnicity among others.
