Shillong, July 12: BJP leader from Garo Hills KC Boro said the party workers should concentrate on Gambegre bypoll rather than resorting to anti-party campaigns.
In a statement issued here, Boro, former state vice president, said the the statements of CR Koch and MS Rabha from Garo Hills that appeared in Meghalaya Monitor on 24.06.2024 and 01.07.2024 under captions — “Anger against Ao after LS poll outcome ….” and “Election fund not distributed resulting in NPP’s defeat … ” respectively , according to him are irresponsible statements made without any authenticity.
“The statements , in my opinion , are nothing but only expression of their anger on Mr. M. Chuba Ao , the then BJP Prabhari , Meghalaya and Mr. Rikman G. Momin , present Meghalaya State President , BJP for the reason(s) best known to them”, Boro said.
“In this regard , I would like to say that , instead of giving attention to such news of any individual(s) , we should rather work unitedly for the development of the party targetting especially the forthcoming by election at Gambegre”, Boro added.
