Centre buys time by way of President’s rule in Manipur
BJP to wait for opportune moment to install new govt

Shillong, Feb 13: The Centre has imposed President’s rule on Thursday after Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh resigned a few days ago.
Political analysts said that given the situation in the Northeastern state, the move is attempted to buy more time so that the same BJP-led government can be installed in the state.

The Centre has understood that even if a new leader from among the BJP MLAs is proposed as the next leader, the vote of confidence will be crucial which may ago against the party.
With the president’s rule, the BJP has enough time to devise a plan in its favour, the analysts added.
