Centre for Skill Development celebrates International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Shillong, Dec 5: The office of Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development  CRCSRE- Shillong celebrated International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3 in three different locations. Shillong Law College, St. Claret School, Umkdait, Nongmynsong, Shillong (in Collaboration with Department of Social Welfare, Govt. of Meghalaya),and  National Institute of Technology Meghalaya In Collaboration with National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled.
The programme was conducted to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all areas of society and development. This year, the event was observed under the theme, “Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future,” calls on the world to take further steps towards ensuring that PwDs are given equal opportunities to lead and contribute to societal progress. Many activities were conducted during the programme like distribution of aids and appliances, games and events, cultural dance,   Role Play 5. Group Song. 6. Solo Song and others.. Prizes were also distributed after the programme.
