Shillong, Feb 11: The Chief Electoral Officer BDR Tiwari has decided to seek a report from the East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner and the concerned officials of the department on issuing of multiple Election Photo Identity Cards (EPICs) to some voters.
Media reports had said that some voters had received multiple EPICs with different numbers.

According to Tiwari , this may be a technical glitch as the same applicant must have applied for EPICs many times resulting in generation of cards multiple times.
“I have to check with the technical team to know what is going on and since there were holidays, this could not be done.
