Shillong, Aug 30: The TMC state president, Charles Pyngrope feels that former MLA George Lyngdoh can be the candidate to contest the Shillong Loka Sabha seat while decision on Tura was entrusted to TMC legislature party leader Mukul Sangma
Charles said a decision will be made on both the seats after consulting with the AITC leadership.
The NPP is yet to decide on Shillong seat while the sitting MP Agatha Sangma will seek re-election from Tura.
Former TMC- turned BJP member HM Shangpliang is set to join the NPP and speculation is that he may apply for ticket from NPP to contest Shillong seat.
When asked, Charles said Shangpliang is free to join any party and contest.
The Congress is yet to decide on Tura candidate while the sitting MP Vincent Pala will be the candidate in Shillong.
