Shillong, Dec 27:The Khasi Jaintia Church Leaders Forum (KJCLF), state BJP and its women’s wing have expressed anguish over the desecration of Mawlynnong church by an individual.
In a statement, Rev.Dr EH Kharkongor, the secretary of KJCLF, said that besides the disturbance created by Akash Sagar in Mawlynnong church, there were several incidents of intolerance reported elsewhere in the country.

Bishop Purely Lyngdoh of All Saints’ Cathedral here also sought action agaist such incidents.
In separate statements, the state BJP leadership and the party’s women’s wing wanted goverment intervention and action against the culprit.
