Shillong, July 26: On the 23rd anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Lt Gen KC Panchanathan, GOC 101 Area garlanded the statues of Captain KC Nongrum, MVC(P) and Maj David Manlum, KC (P) at Rhino Heritage Museum, Shillong. The two bravehearts had made the supreme sacrifice by laying down their lives for the honour of the motherland.

Lt Gen KC Panchanathan and Lt Gen PC Nair, DGAR also laid wreaths at Rhino Prerna Sthal, Shillong in memory of the Indian soldiers who had made the supreme sacrifice during Operation Vijay. The event was also attended by a number of serving personnel and veterans.
