CM admitted in Civil Hospital Shillong

Shillong, Aug 23: Chief Minister Conrad  Sangma was admitted in Shillong Civil Hospital on Friday due to high fever.

According to Chief Minister’s Office, he  felt unwell on August 22 with high temperature and severe illness. He was treated at home. However after blood tests it was identified as Scrub Typhus and typhoid.

“He has been admitted to Civil Hospital, Shillong today due to persistent high fever. Medications have been provided by the senior specialists in the Civil Hospital. His condition is being closely observed. Although he still suffers from severe symptoms of this climate change disease, his vitals are within normal range and is being treated under constant supervision”, the statement said.
