Shillong, Jan 1: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma condoled the death of Skylance G. Momin, the first Garo Meghalaya Police Service ( MPS) officer
“Deeply saddened by the passing of Shri Skylance G. Momin, the first Garo MPS officer of the state. A founding member of the 100 Drums Wangala Committee and former President of the Nokma Council, he played a pivotal role in bringing Liberation Matgrik Army (ALMA) into ceasefire, contributing immensely to peace in the Garo Hills. Shri Skylance’s lifelong commitment to public service, peace, and the preservation of Garo culture will always be remembered”, the chief minister said.
