Shillong, Jan 8: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has said the much-awaited Marriott Hotel at Jail Road will be inaugurated soon.
He conducted an inspection of the hotel and said, “I’m very pleased and happy to see the kind of work that has happened.”
“The entire infrastructure is just amazing and the hotel has come out really excellent and I’m sure that this hotel will raise the standards of the hospitality sector not just for Shillong and for Meghalaya but for the entire Northeast,” he said.
According to Conrad, the hotel is one of the biggest projects in the North East.
“We are hopeful that we’ll be able to inaugurate this very soon with just a few more formalities and a bit of paperwork is left”, he added.
He hoped that the tourists and other people who will be using the services of the hotel will be satisfied.
