Shillong, Oct 7: The reentry of Sayeedullah Nongrum to Congress has come at a time when Rajabala, earlier represented by him, is witnessing a multi cornered contest in the bypoll slated for October 30.
Congress leader Deborah Marak reinducted Nongrum to the Congress fold on Thursday.

The party is expecting to ensure victory in Rajabala though the Congress rebel Ashahel D Shira is also in the fray.
The Congress has fielded Azad Zaman’s wife to retain the seat.
