
Shillong, Mar 27: The BJP vice president and former CEM of GHADC Dipul Marak, who left the BJP two days ago, returned to NPP on Wednesday.
It was on November 28 last year that he joined the BJP.
He resigned from the BJP after the party extended support to the NPP candidate Agatha Sangma.
A. BJP leader said what difference it will make as the party is working along with the NPP in the Lok Sabha polls for Tura seat.
He may have some other reason for leaving the BJP, the leader said.
NPP National President and Chief Minister Conrad Sangma welcomed Marak to the NPP during a campaign at Gopinatkilla in South West Garo Hills on Wednesday.
“During our campaign, we also welcomed former CEM of GHADC & BJP leader Dipul Marak and his team to our party. His joining, along with his team, will further strengthen our ongoing campaign for the Lok Sabha”, Conrad said.
