Shillong, Oct 14: The East Khasi Hills District administration has sought a magisterial probe into the alleged extortion by the police in Mawkhanu and Thangshalai areas in East Khasi Hills
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday ( Oct 14) , the Deputy Commissioner Abhilash Baranwal said after receiving a report from the East Khasi Hills SP, the district administration decided to institute a magisterial inquiry
Earlier, action was taken against five police personnel who were involved.
