Domestic workers want LS candidates to take up their cause

Shillong, Feb 21: All Meghalaya Domestic Workers Union has asked the Lok Sabha candidates to fight for their demands, at a press conference held on Tuesday.
Their demands include Rs 2500 per month with daily one hour work.
They workers also narrated their plight as the government has not ensured implementation of minimum pay to them.

They also called for end to harassment and abuse in thier work places.
There are over 3,000 registered domestic workers in and around the city.
