Shillong, Nov 1: Police arrested a drug trafficker together with 2 kg of amphetamine tablets at Ladrymbai Datsympein in East Jaintia Hills, on Wednesday.
Sanju Singh, a resident of Harijan Colony, Shillong, was travelling in a night bus (AR 20 9990) from Silchar to Shillong along with the illegal contraband, district SP Jagpal Singh Dhanoa said.

A naka was set up at Ladrymbai Datsympein at 5 am and accordingly the bus was detained.
From Sanju, two backpacks containing 2.771 kg of amphetamine tablets were recovered.
A case was registered with the Khliehriat police station.
