Easy Riders and The Great Society to celebrate Bob Dylan’s Day on May 24

Shillong, May 17: Easy Riders band from Kolkata along with The Great Society will be part of the 54th celebration of Bob Dylan’s Day in the city on May 24.
The event, ’54th Bob Dylan’s Day 2025, a celebration of poetry & songs’ will be held at Evening Club here from 9 pm supported by Lou Majaw Foundation & Mawjam Event Network.
Majaw has been celebrating the life and music of the American singer-song writer in Shillong for the last 53 years on latter’s birthday every May 24.
Easy Riders began its journey with the sole aim of making original music rooted in rock with a healthy disregard for genre boundaries. Their sound, a blend of everything from psychedelia to electronica to blues and folk, is as unique as their songs which range from reflections on life to mountain tops to lonely whales to climate change. Also in the mix are instrumentals that promise to take one on a trip aboard the magic swirling ship. The band had performed across India and is excited to play in Shillong for the first time.
