Shillong,April 9: Education Minister Rakkam Sangma has sanctioned funds for renovation of 45 schools in his constituency under Special Rural Works Programme (SRWP 2024-25)
The schools will get Rs 2 lakh each.

In response to a statement of A-chik State Peoples’ Front (ASPF) regarding the condition of Seelpang government LP school in his Rongara constituency, Rakkam said the government had on March 8 sanctioned Rs 2 lakh for renovation of the school.
The photo regarding roofless school with broken windows may be old as the work is yet to start, the minister added.
