Shillong, Sep 18: Educationist and writer Dilip Mukherjea said on Monday that ‘how to implement’ is not mentioned in the National Education Policy 2020.
Addressing a press conference at Shillong Press Club, Mukherjea said as a document, it is an aspiration but it does not mention anything about the manner in which it can be executed.
Mukherjea pointed out even the NEHU Vice Chancellor will not know how to implement the NEP and added that the teachers are also confused.
The expert who offered his help in this regard wanted to know what made the country to wait and waste three precious years as the NEP was framed in 2020.
Mukherjea, who had gone through the NEP 2020, made his own remarks in the text which can be incorporated by the authorities who want to implement the same.
With pictorial representation, he has prepared an action plan on how to implement the NEP which according to him will be beneficial for those who want to pursue the policy.
The expert wondered how the four year undergraduate course started under NEP without knowing how to implement it.
