Shillong, Feb 14: Police have arrested 11 persons till date in connection with the murder of ACHIK activist Dilseng Sangma in Rajabala, West Garo Hills.
Dilseng and others were against illegal stone quarries.
Three more absconding accused persons, who were involved in the Rajabala incident, were arrested from different parts of Garo Hills and Tripura in the last few days.
According to the police, on February 9 night during a raid, Gulbahar Sheikh(45,) was arrested from Bhaitbari.
On February 11, Mominul Hoque ,(40,) was arrested from Sidakandi.
On February 12 morning, the police team raided a house in Agartala, Tripura and arrested one of the main accused Mozidul Islam of Bhaitbari. The police team have returned from Agarala on Friday morning and all the accused have been produced before the Court.
