Shillong, July 14:The court-appointed special officer Subhasis Chakrawarty said on Monday that the hawkers’ eviction issue will be discussed on July 16.
A few days ago, the special officer had written to Deputy Commissioner RM Kurbah to halt the eviction following a letter from her that the law and order issue will be taken care of if the eviction is carried out.

The special officer, however, wanted the order of the court to be followed before taking any decision on eviction as proper arrangements for relocation of hawkers will have to be made.
