Shillong, Jan 15: Former teacher Madhumitha Guha Majumder passed away on Thursday at her Kolkata residence following a prolonged illness.
Born in Shillong, she leaves behind a legacy of knowledge and compassion. A graduate of St. Mary’s College, she also holds a BEd from Post Graduate Training College. Madhumitha began her teaching career at St. John’s School, Laban, Shillong. Her commitment to education and students will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her family, including brother Rajib Chowdhury, a senior journalist in Shillong. Her husband, Rajan Guha Majumder, passed away on October 30 last. The funeral will be held this evening in Kolkata.
