Vaiphei said the commission had called for statements from the families of victims twice but no statement came from them.
He hinted that it would be difficult for the commission to proceed further without their statements.
On November 22, six persons, including five Mukroh residents and a forest guard from Assam, were killed during a stand-off between the villagers and the forest guards over the arrest of a few residents.
