FIR against Rapsang for alleged drunken intrusion
Shillong, Feb 16: A resident of Mawbah Lumphyrnai on Thursday filed an FIR against the former legislator and NPP candidate of West Shillong, Mohendro Rapsang, for allegedly threatening her husband.
A. Sohtun, in her complaint submitted before the officer in-charge of Jhalupara, said, “I want to inform you that the ex-MLA, Mohendro Rapsang, along with his people or so-called gangster come to my residence at around 11.30 pm and try (sic) to forcefully enter my home to search for my husband (Droshing Lyngdoh) as he is the member of the UDP Unit and threatened to kill him and along using abusive language to show his power along with his people.”
“Mohendro Rapsang was fully drunk and was not in the condition to communicate in a good way and even try to molest me and my family. As his wife, I want everyone to get arrested whoever has the part to molest us,” she stated in the complaint.
Meanwhile, East Khasi Hills SP Dr Raghavendra Kumar informed that a case has been registered and an investigation into the matter has started.
