Shillong, Jan 15: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Monday informed that out of the 17 miners who got prospective mining licenses, 4 got geological clearance.
Addressing a press conference, Conrad said this is one step ahead of actual mining activities.

After the geological clearance, the miners will have to submit mining plans before the mining starts.
“We are happy that the process of mining started”, Conrad said.
The four mines are Kalagaw block, Nehlang block, Saryngkham A Block and
Pyndengshahlang block
