Shillong, May 28: Indian Dental Association (IDA) Meghalaya State Branch along with the Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons of India (AOMSI) North East Chapter will hold a free oral health screening camp at lewduh Khliehiew Parking Lot , here on May 31 from 9 am to 12 pm.

Dr Bobby Linda Majaw, Convenor of Association of oral & maxillo-facial surgeons of India, Northeast chapter, Dr. Mansankara Jyrwa, Chairman, Indian Dental Association Meghalaya Chapter addressed a press conference on Wednesday to highlight the need on the part of the people to attend the free oral screening camp which can help in addressing various deficiencies.
They also highlighted the harmful effects of tobacco and its links to cancer.
The doctors called for preventive measures.including reduction in tobacco use, smoking and drinking for better dental care.
