Shillong, Feb 20: Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi wanted Shillong MP Vincent Pala and Sutnga-Saipung candidate as the Chief Minister of Meghalaya.
Gogoi told reporters on Monday that he and other Congress leaders, who had campaigned for Pala, informed the voters about electing a CM candidate from the constituency.

“It is my personal opinion as he (Pala) is concerned about the people of the state and wanted to bring many development initiatives”, Gogoi said.
To a question, Gogoi said it is true that the elected MLAs will propose the CM but added that personally he is in favour of Pala.
