Tight security due to HNLC threat

Ummylle polling booth in Marbisu, under Mawphlang witnessed unprecedented security on Saturday . A large number of voters turned up for voting from 7 am.
According to election officials, security was due to the threat of HNLC to NPP candidate and party workers.

Masks were kept at the entrance of the polling station and thermal screening of voters were carried out.

No gloves
Though promised, no gloves were provided to the voters in the polling booth .
The UDP candidate, Eugeneson Lyngdoh shook hands with the voters after entering the premises of the booth.
