Shillong, Jan 2: The state government will stick to the rescheduling of SSLC and HSSLC exams only on February 21 and 24 due to council polls and not other days.
Meghalaya Board of School Education ( MBoSE) had on December 20 rescheduled the examinations in view of the state government’s announcement to hold the elections to Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District (JHADC), on February 21 and counting on February 24.
While the UDP wanted rescheduling of all the exams, the education department does not see any reason to the demand as rescheduling was allowed on February 21 and 24. According to the notification, the SSLC and the HSSLC examinations, 2025 falling on these two dates have been rescheduled.
As far as SSLC exams are concerned, Mathematics/Special Mathematics scheduled earlier on February 21 will be held on February 25 and Physics which was scheduled on February 24 will be held alongwith History on March 6.
For HSSLC, Sociology which was to be held on February 24 will be on March 18.
Vocational subjects like Poultry Farming-IV/ Computer Technique-IV which were fixed on February 21 wil be held on March 19.
