Shillong, June 2: BJP leader and Tura MDC Bernard Marak said on Sunday that for the first time when the wall of PA Sangma stadium collapsed in the past, he had filed an FIR but the government did not take any action.
Speaking about the second incident on June 2, Marak said as shoddy work was carried out, there is a need to have proper inquiry.
“The villagers are very apprehensive about the work as this is becoming a threat to their life and there is a crack on the big tank being constructed and it is affecting the water supply system”, Bernard said
According to Marak, the wall seems to be not safe for the people residing nearby. The wall should be of concrete structure and proper levelling and foundation should be done, he added.
“Peope are not happy with the work and they want the goverment to address the issue and for this proper inquiry should be done”, he added.
