Shillong, Nov 5: The election department reviewed preparedness for the bye-election, focusing on basic facilities at polling stations.
The review meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary Shakil P Ahammed and T7
Speaking after the meeting, Chief Electoral Officer BDR Tiwari said the state machinery is ready and only awaiting the Election Commission of India’s announcement.
“As per the requirement, we are ready for the conduct of the bye-election as and when announced by the Election Commission of India,” Tiwari said.
