Shillong, Oct 26: Options will be given to schools that can conduct exams for classes VI to IX, though the government is committed to preparing question papers for the schools.
An official pointed out that it was notified that the purpose is to maintain the uniformity and accuracy in connection with the conduct of the final/promotional examination for classes VI to IX in all government and government-aided schools, including SSA.
The final/promotional examination for the academic year 2025 will be held as per the programme shown below:
Instructions by the dept
1. The schools are to incorporate the other minor subjects during the off days or before the above notified dates(s) as per their convenience.
2. Modern Indian Languages: Khasi, Garo Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Nepali, Urdu and Mizo.
3. Vocational Subjects: Beauty and Wellness, Tourism, HealthCare, Electronics, Agriculture, ITES, Apparels, Plumbing, Food Processing, Telecom, Banking, Automobile. These subjects are in lieu of Computer Science. Health & Physical Education.
4. The Exam Hall will open at 09:30 AM.
5. Question papers will be distributed at 09:45 AM.
6. Candidates will start writing at 10:00 AM sharp.
7. All schools are to strictly follow the given time table and under no circumstances shall a different time table be made for any school, other than the above.
