Shiillong, Aug 26: The state government has rejected inclusion of unrepresented tribes in the three district councils.
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma told reporters on Thursday after a meeting with the CEMs of all the district councils that the district councils should not have more than 40 members each and the nominated members should not be more than four and out of which 50 per cent should be women.
