The retired MeECL staff are yet to receive the pension for the last two months.
Earlier, after meeting Power Minister James Sangma, the Coordination Committee of Registered MeECL Employees Associations and Unions (CCORMAU) said If they don’t get their pension by June 15, 70-90 year-old pensioners may come out to the street.
“CCORMAU will stand by them”, said its vice president Arju Dkhar.
