Shillong,Oct 6: Social Welfare Minister Paul Lyngdoh has said the state government will appoint only the chairperson of the women’s commission and not other members as they will be allowed to complete their tenure.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Paul said the appointment of the new chairperson will be held shortly.

Paul said the search committee has suggested the names of four persons.
“I will be sitting with the chief minister and after confabulation with him, we will be in a position to share the information on appointment of a new chairperson,” he said.
