Shillong, Aug 13: The state government has decided to form an FCRA cell to address the concerns arising out of the proposed amendment.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday (Aug 13), Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said that this will ease the difficulties the applicants will face.

Neither support nor opposition
To a question, Sangma said the question of supporting or opposing the bill does not arise as the matter has been sent to JPC.
He criticised the Congress for blaming the NPP on the action taken.
‘I wamted to know how many times Pala have taken up the matter”, he asked, while appreciating the UDP in meeting the Union Home Minister.
