Shillong, Nov 4: The cabinet on Wednesday decided to grant pension to 3635 regularised employees.
The cabinet had decided on March 15 this year in favour of regularisation of the 3635 ad hoc employees based on a Supreme Court order.

The court wanted regularisation of the employees who were employed before December 31, 2007 on ad hoc basis but against sanctioned posts .
Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said the cabinet decided that pension amount will also be given to the employees.
“This one-time decision that has been taken only for this particular case will also include the pension benefits to employees who have retired or have passed away”, Conrad said.
