Chief Secretary DP Wahlang said the Sohra Sub Divisional Officer will disburse the amount.
Police are yet to arrest those involved in the killing of Esan Sing and Sujit Dutta, whose bodies were found at Ichamati and Dalda respectively.
The atack was after the KSU held an anti-CAA rally at Ichamati on March 27.
Earlier in the day, the twin bodies were transported from Shillong Civil Hospital to Ichamati accompanied by the family members.
While the body of Dutta was cremated, that of Sing was buried in the village.
The duo were labourers engaged in loading limestones in trucks and they were attacked while returning.
Dutta’s brother Sushil Dutta said he has two children aged 5 and 4 and the wife is pregnant for three months.
Bablu Gwala, cousin of late Sing who is an Adivasi aged around 22 said atleast 12 people came in three vehicles and started attacking the workers leading to the incident.
