Govt to terminate service of nurses appointed under 3F
Shillong, March 15: Health and Family Welfare Minister James Sangma has said once the process of appointment of 202 staff nurses is completed, the service of nurses appointed under 3F as stop-gap arrangement will be terminated.
Sangma said this during the question hour in Assembly on Tuesday.
In reply to a query by Mawryngkneng MLA Pyniad Sing Syiem, James said Rs 158.56 crore is the budget allocation for the development of the existing and new PHCs, CHCs, district hospitals and health sub-centres during 2022-23.
Rs 72.78 crore has been spent by the department for development of existing PHCs, CHCs, district hospitals and health sub-centres during 2021-22, Sangma said.
The minister said 336 proposals have been received from members and different people for setting up and upgradation of sub-centres, PHCs and CHCs.
“We will try as a government that many of these proposals be taken up but
it does not mean all 336 will see light of day but it is our endeavor to try to the maximum,” he said.
Sangma said strengthening of the health engineering wing is going on as the government is committed to make the health engineering wing robust.
“We have already appointed 11 new engineers to further strengthen it,” he added.
