A notification was issued on Tuesday ( May 5) .
The outgoing East Khasi Hills DC RM Kurbah, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner & Secretary to Home (Police) and Tourism Departments.

No.PER.36/2011/Pt.X/97- Shri Harish Chandra Chaudhary, IFS (RR: 1992) Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor of Meghalaya, and Additional Chief Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Fisheries Department is relieved of his functions as Additional Chief Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Fisheries Department with effect from the date of handing over charge.
No.PER.36/2011/Pt.X/97-A- Shri Sampath Kumar, IAS (RR: 1997) Additional Chief Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Community & Rural Development etc., Departments shall also function as Principal Resident Commissioner, Meghalaya House, New Delhi with effect from the date of taking over charge and until further orders.
He is, however, relieved of his functions as Resident Commissioner, Meghalaya House, New Delhi with effect from the date of handing over charge.
