Shillong, Dec 9: Happy Red Rooster, a city-based MMA institute, has won two gold medals at the 4th All Assam Amateur MMA Championship 2024.
Two women fighters, Shailang Lamurong and Ribhalang Sunn, won gold in the 55 kg and 48 kg categories, respectively. In the men’s section, Angtang Shadap won silver in the 61 kg category and Kaushik Dey bagged a bronze in the 57 kg category.

The fights took place at Borbari in Guwahati on December 7 and 8.
Happy Red Rooster is a jiu-jitsu-based institute that has been winning accolades in the state as well as outside. Last July, fighters from the institute won four medals in a competition in Guwahati.
