Shillong, Dec 17: The High Court of Meghalaya has disposed of a PIL on water scarcity in the city, though there will be issues concerning water shortage during Christmas and the New Year.
The court has not fixed the next date to hear the matter since it was closed, though the issues will linger.

From the court order and the statement of the PHE Minister Marcuise Marak, NHIDCL is the cause of water scarcity in the city since the central road construction agency did not align the water pipes before excavation of the road.
