Health campaign held for women & children

Shillong, Oct 9: Sri Aurobindo Institute of Indian Culture, in collaboration with Ganesh Das Hospital, organised a health campaign under the name Swasth Nari Sashakti Parivar Abhigyan Bhararat Campaign.
Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family) is a nationwide health initiative in India, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, focused on improving the health of women and children through comprehensive health screenings and services. The campaign offers health camps for conditions like anemia, cancer, and tuberculosis, alongside nutrition awareness, aiming to build stronger, healthier families and a developed nation.
The focus was on promoting women’s health and empowerment.
This initiative focused on promoting women’s health and empowerment through quality medical consultation and screening.
More than 70 beneficiaries participated in the health camp, including children women, and senior citizens.
It aims to strengthen family health by promoting women’s health and well-being, focusing on early detection and treatment of diseases like anaemia, cancer, and non-communicable diseases, alongside initiatives for maternal and child health and lifestyle improvements, said Farida Khan, Principal Mother’s School SAIICS
