“Had the privilege of meeting Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji for a detailed discussion on the political situation in Meghalaya and the road ahead.

We had a detailed discussion on the FCRA Bill. The Home Minister said that he has already met with at least 35 Christian forums and leaders regarding the matter. At present, the Bill has been referred to the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) for further discussion and consideration. He said that, after the JPC process is completed, he will invite us to Delhi for further discussions with Christian stakeholders.

During the course of the conversation, I shared my assessment of the emerging political scenario in the state and our vision for the coming days. We discussed the evolving political landscape and the clear opportunity before us to emerge as a strong, credible and independent political force in Meghalaya.

I also sought Shri Amit Shah Ji’s guidance, encouragement and blessings as we move forward with a clear political objective — to strengthen our organisation across the state, earn the confidence of the people, and work towards forming our own government in Meghalaya.

The political scenario is changing, and the coming days will be decisive. We are prepared to seize this opportunity with determination, discipline and a clear sense of purpose.

Our goal is not merely to be a participant in Meghalaya’s politics, but to provide strong, stable and accountable leadership through a government of our own, rooted in the aspirations and interests of the people of Meghalaya.

With the blessings and guidance of our senior leadership, we continue to move forward with confidence and resolve.BJP Meghalaya”
