Shillong, July 24: The state functionaries on Saturday forgot the audience and pleased the Delhi leaders and officers by speaking in Hindi.
Majority of the audience did not understand Hindi though additional chief secretary DP Wahlang and Chief Minister Conrad Sangma spoke in Hindi about the Inter State Bus Terminal opened by Union Home Minister Amit Shah , who spoke about the schemes launched by the BJP led government at the Centre.

Commissioner and Secretary, Transport MR Synrem read out his vote of thanks in Hindi. The programme announcer started speaking in English and ended in Hindi .
