Shillong, Sept 12: The Hynñiewtrep Integrated Territorial Organization, Ri Bhoi has asked the Deputy Commissioner to reopen the weekly and daily markets at Umsning, Mawhati, Umroi, Byrnihat, Nongpoh and Umden to enable the farmers to sell their agricultural produce and earn livelihood.
“Recently we meet the Myntri in-charge of the area and he said that he is waiting for your order to reopen the markets”, HITO said in a letter addressed to the deputy commissioner on Sunday.
