Shillong, April 11: A home guard from Meghalaya was found dead in Guwahati with bruises.
The victim Ribokson Dkhar Sawain from Mawryngkneng, went missing from the NDRF training camp at Changsari in North Guwahati on April 9 around 6.45 pm as told by his colleague.
As he did not return by 8 pm, a search was carried out by his colleagues and NDRF personnel.
On April 10 morning, they went to Changsari police station to file a missing report.
However, they were informed that a body was found at Gauripur near Borluit Dhaba by the police around 9.30 pm on April 9.
Rolan Dkhar, the brother of the deceased, lodged a complaint on April 11 afternoon with the North Guwahati police station seeking action as it is an unnatural death.
When contacted, a senior police official said details regarding the incident are yet to come.
