Shillong,Nov 11: Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) president Robertjune Kharjahrin has joined the United Democratic Party (UDP) on Saturday and is preparing to contest from the Shillong Lok Sabha seat.
Kharjahrin joined the party in the presence of UDP MLA Renington Lyngdoh Tongkhar and members of the UDP Mawkyrwat Circle at Mawkyrwat in South West Khasi Hills.

Kharjahrin said the reason for joining the UDP is due to the stable leadership.
According to Kharjahrin, the sitting MP Vincent Pala failed to take up issues concerning the state.
