Shillong, Oct 11: East Khasi Hills police has seized illicit liquor in the city on Friday.
In a statement, East Khasi Hills SP Sylvester Nongtnger said in the ongoing fight against vices in the city, the police made a major success against the sale of illicit liquor within the city limits.

In a raid conducted under polo area of Sadar police station, the team seized around 115 litres of IMFL and 162 litres of beer. The due process is being followed post the seizure.
This is part of the ongoing efforts to keep the festive season free from trouble, the SP added.
