Intl body condemns death of Andhra journalist
Geneva/ Guwahati, August 10: The Press Emblem Campaign (PEC), a Switzerland-based global media rights body, has expressed shock at the murder of journalist Ch. Keshav in Andhra Pradesh and demanded a thorough probe into the incidents which led to his death.
Local media reports reveal that Keshav (35), who worked as a reporter with a YouTube channel, was stabbed to death by a suspended police constable with support from another individual on August 8 in Kurnool district.

It is suspected that Keshav was targeted because of his reporting on corruption and gambling issues.
The accused policeman, Venkata Subbaiah, faced the departmental suspension because of media reports on his illegal activities, including gambling.
